What I think about UX design. And a bit about UI of course.

Love thy haters. They will check you better than any testers…

Love thy haters. They will check you better than any testers…

I have written a post about why graphic designers shouldn't do UI/UX and I put this text in few public places. I have written truth, what I know from my experience. And I skip political correctness because I know this Marxists invention is harmful, injurious.

For now, it was seen (I’m realistic – so I don’t write „read”) over 25 times more than any other. Twenty-five times more! And counting.

And I have many commentaries on facebook. Plenty of it. The general comment is – this text is dramatic bad, wrong and full of lies. I can’t write about UI/UX. Why? Here is the list of arguments:

  •  My English is wrong.
  •  I should not write it in English.
  •  I use Google Translator
  •  I made one (ONE) mistake, wrong spelling of one word in a different article.
  •  I made mistakes so I can’t criticize anybody.
  •  I made mistake in spelling so I can’t write about UI/UX.
  •  The software I used to write it has bugs (and this is why I can’t write about UI/UX).
  •  I criticize graphic designers while my software has a bug (strictly programmists error), graphic designers never did mistakes like that.
  •  My blog is ugly.
  •  A website I created over 10 years ago (and it’s not mine) is ugly.
  •  I’m ugly (sorry – it was not detailed like that but close enough).
  •  It is impossible I made 500 websites.
  •  I’m coach.
  •  I’m not a coach, this is impossible.
  •  I'm hypnotherapist so I can't write about UI/UX.
  •  NLP is not psychology (it is, but even if not - what is the connection?).
  •  This is commercial.
  •  This is antycommercial.
  •  And my favorite: „it is enough to change attitude, don’t write they can’t, write what should they do to can.”
  •  Donald Trump and pope did not approve it. (ok, this one I invented by myself)
  •  And so on…

And ONE essential commentary – somebody wrote he doesn’t agree because of this and that, I replied and he wrote something like, ah in this sense I agree.

BUT.

Somewhere in this thrash (as you can see I still name things as it is without political correctness) I’ve found some information. Completely not about the topic, but somebody found a bug in the software, somebody mistake in spelling. I'm grateful.

My English is not very good. I know. Tell me something I don’t know. Poles saying me that. Americans, English saying – your English is very good. Anyway – do you understand my point? If so, my English is good enough. I shouldn't write in English. Not true this is text addressed to people doesn’t speak polish. Or Russian - I know Russian too… I couldn’t create 500 websites. Let’s see. I was working 20 years, most of the time about 16-18 hours a day. But let’s see just days. It is about two weeks for one website. Of course, some of them was a great amount of work and time, but some were simple. And usually I was working on few projects at the same time – clients need time to think etc.

I criticize graphic designers while my software has a bug (strictly programmists error), graphic designers never did mistakes like that. Of course. They are not programming...

And I will not change attitude because text yelling they can’t do. End of story. This is not handbook what to do to teach them. First, this is completely different text. And second, they don’t want to learn… If somebody wants – becoming UI designer...

I can argue with this arguments but it is stupid enough without it.

BUT.

Why I’m writing all this? Because this is great User Experience examination. And free. And – if Marilyn Monroe was right – not important how important they speaking about you. So success!

PS. I was thinking how to tag this article...
